MNB Networks was founded in 2017 with a simple goal: help organisations make better networking decisions through strong design, practical experience and independent expertise.
Malcolm Booden established MNB Networks as a specialist consultancy focused on solving complex networking challenges. The achievement of the Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification in the same year reinforced a design-led approach that continues to shape everything we do today. Malcolm has 25 years of networking experience, CCDE-level design leadership and delivery across enterprise, ISP, service-provider and integrator environments.
In our early years, we supported global enterprises through large-scale network transformation programmes, helping customers modernise infrastructure, adopt SD-WAN technologies and evolve complex MPLS environments. As our customer base grew, so did our understanding that successful networks require more than technology alone—they require strategy, automation, operational visibility and skilled people.
Over time, MNB Networks expanded beyond consultancy, building deeper expertise in network automation, security, wireless networking and operational intelligence. This led to the development of NET-i, our Network Intelligence platform, designed to help organisations gain greater visibility and control across their environments.
Alongside our professional services business, we also invested heavily in knowledge sharing and education. What began as network design training evolved into CCDE bootcamps, mentoring and specialist learning programmes that have helped engineers and architects develop their design skills and advance their careers.
Today, MNB Networks operates across two complementary business units: Professional Services and Network Design Training. Together, they allow us to combine real-world consulting experience with practical education, ensuring that our customers and delegates benefit from current industry knowledge and proven best practices.
